VFS Cairo guide
VFS Global operates visa application centres in Cairo and Alexandria on behalf of most Schengen embassies. Here is everything you need to know before your appointment.

Cairo — Dokki: Smart Village, Building B2, 26 July Corridor, Giza
Cairo — Heliopolis: Multiple locations — check VFS website for current addresses as they move periodically
Alexandria: Al Raml, Azarita area

How to book an appointment
1. Go to vfsglobal.com and select your destination country and Egypt as your location.
2. Create an account and fill in the application form online.
3. Select an available appointment slot — book as early as possible, especially June–September when slots fill quickly.
4. Pay the VFS service fee online.
5. Print your appointment confirmation and bring it with all required documents.
What to bring on the day
✔ Your appointment confirmation letter (printed)
✔ Original passport + colour copy of all pages
✔ Complete application form (printed, signed in blue ink)
✔ All supporting documents (originals + copies)
✔ Two passport photos meeting specifications
✔ Payment for the visa fee (cash or card — confirm accepted payment methods on VFS website)
✔ Biometric data (fingerprints and photo) will be taken at the centre
Tips for your visit
Arrive 15 minutes early. Dress professionally. All documents should be organised in the order the embassy requests. Your application will be checked at the counter — if anything is missing, you may be turned away and need a new appointment. After submission, you can track your passport status online using the VFS tracking number.
